Mary Beth Shera holds a Master of Arts degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Learning and Behavior Disorders. She also has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and holds a Certified Administrative Professional designation.
Mary Beth has over 20 years of experience in the administrative field. She has worked in the corporate and non profit sector. She is experienced in event planning, travel arrangements, project management, data entry, presentation development through Powerpoint, marketing materials and newsletter development through Publisher, spreadsheet development through Excel, and business document preparation through Word.
Her experience with special education includes being a parent of a child with special needs, having a cousin with severe disabilities, and working with families to assist them in developing early intervention plans for their children. As a parent of a child with special needs, Mary Beth understands the difficulty that parents have in making sure that their special needs child obtains the education and resources needed to succeed. She is an advocate for all children and has educated many families on the rights of special needs children. She is also a substitute teacher and has worked with a variety of students.
Mary Beth has had many leadership roles in her professional organization and currently serves has President of the Bluegrass Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals.
